Training That Prepares You for the Real World
Most CPR classes feel like a box to check—watch a video, take a written test, and walk away hoping you remember something if the moment ever comes. That’s not how we do things at Beacon Safety.
We believe that if you ever need to save a life, you should feel confident, not unsure. That’s why our courses are taught by real first responders—people who have actually performed CPR in high-stakes situations. We don’t waste time with long lectures or written exams. Instead, we focus on hands-on, practical training that sticks.
A Family Legacy of Emergency Training
Beacon Safety is more than a training company—it’s the result of decades of experience in emergency response. Founder Drew Hurst spent his career as a New Castle County paramedic and played a role in shaping Delaware’s childcare licensing standards for CPR & First Aid. His expertise set the foundation for how thousands of professionals are trained today.
Now, his son Nick Hurst leads the company, bringing years of field experience as a Firefighter/EMT, police officer, United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran, and CPR instructor. Under his leadership, Beacon Safety has trained thousands of childcare providers, healthcare workers, construction teams, and businesses across the region.

Train with Us!
CPR is only useful if you can remember it when it matters. That’s why our training is designed to be engaging, effective, and built for real-world application.
- Taught by First Responders – Firefighters, paramedics, and emergency professionals, not just instructors.
- No Written Tests – You learn by doing, not by memorizing answers.
- Certification on the Same Day – Walk away OSHA & HSI-certified, ready to respond.
- We Come to You – On-site training for workplaces, schools, and organizations.
That’s why over 900 childcare providers, 200 dental offices, and companies like Siemens and Johnson & Johnson trust us with their CPR & First Aid training.
